Description | The Smorfà cc group, takes its name from the gai†dialect, which which means can be interpreted like musicians but also like weird onesâ€. The group presents itself like repeaters of the bergamascan and brescan traditional music. Whilst remaining in the folkloristic territory, the arrangements tries to revive the pulsing and energic spirit of this kind of music, creating and displaying, in some pieces, similes with the sort of music more than Alps. The pieces comes from the bell ringer's repertoire, from resercher's publications and also from the seek of the group's members. Theatre involves: Swing in Laughing Matters, Celia Imrie (St James' Theatre, London), dance captain/assistant fight captain/swing in From Here to Eternity (West End and workshop), featured singer in Hot Stuff (Leicester Curve), Bobby and onstage swing in Cabaret (West End), swing and cover Mary Sunshine in Chicago (West End), ensemble in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert - The Musical (West End), Harry and Harrison in Chicago (West End), assistant choreographer in En Kvoll Med Daniel Ganesh (Nykoping), ensemble and dance captain in Dick Whittington (Camberley Theatre), assistant choreographer in A single Much more Time (West Finish), Thomas Hassinger and cover Stewpot in South Pacific (UK tour), Emperor and dance captain in Aladdin (Rhyl Pavilion), Stephen Sondheim's 75th Birthday Gala Youngsters Will Listen (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), ensemble in Follies (West End) and Cecil in Peter Pan (Wyvern, Swindon). Theatre consists of: Sinatra (West End), Dance 'Til Dawn (West Finish and UK tour), Robinson Crusoe (Southampton Mayflower), Dirty Dancing (Stokholm), Aladdin (Liverpool Empire), Houdini the Musical (UK tour), Royal Masonic Gala (Prince Edward Theatre), Snow White (Evolution Productions), Headliners Theatre Co (P& Oceana), Circle of Life (Wimbledon Theatre), A Christmas Carol (UK tour) and Ballet Footwear (Peacock Theatre). Mark also wrote, developed and played the lead in the brief film, The Double Deal, which has screened at 12 film festivals worldwide, and has won the following awards: Ideal Brief Film at the San Diego Black Film Festival 2015, in California, USA Award of Excellence at the International Film Festival of Spirituality, Religion and Visionary 2014 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Special Mention at the IFilmmaker International Film Festival 2015 in Marbella, Spain. David Ian has created theatre shows all more than the globe. His credits incorporate: Grease, Saturday Evening Fever, The King and I, West Side Story, Singin' in the Rain, Ain't Misbehavin', Something Goes, The Producers, Defending the Caveman, Guys and Dolls, Daisy Pulls It Off, The Sound of Music, La Cage Aux Folles, Sweet Charity, Flashdance, Gypsy, The Shawshank Redemption, The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Chess, Rocky Horror Show, Cats, Chicago, Dr Dolittle, Starlight Express, Seminar, Steel Magnolias, Ghost the Musical and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. |
