While more computing power is always beneficial, what else does the project need most at this stage? Are there specific areas where volunteers can contribute beyond donating crunching power? For example, are there needs related to software development, outreach, documentation, or anything else that could help this projects thrive? |

Maybe some nice fancy stats for each individual application so we can run some internal challenges. |

There would probably be a need for implementing NPU / TPU into the apps, as there are current CPU+NPU variants coming into market right now. It would be nice to see implementing additional external NPU / TPU for integer calculations, to see how it will or will it even speed up the calculations. Why? Well any external NPU / TPU needs to be on PCIe or on USB, so there is a bandwidth throughput between the CPU & external NPU / TPU.

There would probably be a need for implementing NPU / TPU into the apps, as there are current CPU+NPU variants coming into market right now. NPU / TPU is too AI specific to be useful for something else. Cannot find documentation on how to use NPU to do a simple matrix multiplication on all platforms except via Machine Learning libraries. Unless NPU become as versatile as GPU, it is as useful as crypto ASICs that nobody can use it for real work. They are there just for marketing. |
